As part of the commemoration of the international fight against HIV / AIDS, the Directorate of Health, headed by Dr. Salvador Varilla Hernández, conducted a day of free consulting and diagnosis with capacity to serve up to 5,000 people in Tulum, Quintana Roo.

The opening of the day was in charge of the president of the DIF-Tulum, Celia Aguilar Mas and during the ceremony Varilla Hernandez, said that this epidemic currently affects a significant proportion of the young population nationwide, who begin their active sexual life at age 15.

For her part, Celia Aguilar Más said that without a doubt the figures are alarming, so she made a call on the population in general to protect themselves through the use of condoms and by carrying out periodical diagnosis of HIV, since prevention saves lives.

On the International Day of Disability, the Center for Comprehensive Municipal Rehabilitation (CRIM) carried out a series of activities as part of the Everyone’s Inclusion Commitment Program in which it was established that the greatest disability is self-created, when we refuse to accept ourselves and others.

Monserrat Navarro Gamboa, Coordinator of the CRIM, thanked the authorities for their determination to form an inclusive municipality in which every man and woman we are equal.
