Quintana Roo and Yucatan seek to attract British tourism at WTM London 2018

Beaches, Maya villages and archaeological zones are some of the attractions that are being promoted by the delegations of Yucatan and Quintana Roo during their participation in the International Travel Fair (World Travel Market) that takes place in London, England from the 5th to the 7th of November.

The Secretariat of Tourism of the State of Quintana Roo, in a statement, said that the United Kingdom represents the most important European market for Mexico. Trips to Mexico last approximately 13 nights and the average expense per person is 1,804 dollars (35,833 Mexican pesos at the exchange rate of November 5, 2018).

The majority of British tourists come from large cities such as London, Birmingham and Liverpool.

According to this agency, 84% of those who visit Mexico do it for vacation, 77 stay in a 4 – 5 star hotel or higher categories and 52% make their reservation with a tour operator.

Friedman said that with the participation of Yucatan in the fair seeks to promote tourism in lesser known cities of the state such as Valladolid and Izamal.
