Six Riviera restaurants ranked amongst the best in mexico.

Six restaurants located in the Riviera Maya, four in Playa del Carmen and one in Tulum, are among the best 120 in the country that were listed in the “Mexico Gastronomic 2019” guide.

Ana Mari Irabien, director of Public Relations of the Association of Hotels in the Riviera Maya, adding a new sector of tourism as a whole and becoming a gastronomic destiny as well as a vacatinioning paradise.

Passion, Le Chique, La Marea and Cocina de Autor, are the chosen restaurants and are located in the hotels Paradisus, Blue Beach Resort, Viceroy and Grand Velas, respectively; the list is completed by Axite, which is on Fifth Avenue and 10th Street, and Arca Restaurant, which is located on the road to Boca Paila, in Tulum.

The guide “Mexico Gastronomico 2019” is made by the specialized magazine Culinaria Mexicana, and is sponsored by the brands Nespresso and S. Pellegrino,recognizing restaurants for various aspects such as the continued effort towards the gastronomic project, quality of service and food, use of correct culinary techniques and value for money among others.

“It is an annual guide with the participation of 50 judges who determine these restaurants, and are not limited to Mexican cuisine, include contemporary cuisine, Mexican but also other countries such as Japan that are among the 120, but in Overall what is qualified is  the experience from when you reach up until you leave is extraordinary, which does not speak of the quality of service of our workers, “added Irabien. This is the first time that a restaurant in Tulum has been included, while Cancun, which on other occasions has contributed to some establishments, does not appear on the list.
