Spanish tennis player, Rafael Nadal, currently number two in the world, will open next November the first sports center for the practice and teaching of tennis known as “Rafa Nadal Tennis Center”, in Costa Mujeres, located in the continental zone of Isla Mujeres municipality, in the state of Quintana Roo, which will be part of the two resorts that an international chain is building in this destination of the Mexican Caribbean.

With his winning experience in Grand Slam tournaments, Davis Cup and Olympic Games, Nadal seeks to have presence as tennis institution in tourist places such as Cancun, where he will invest in an ambitious project to promote this popular sport among the local population and travelers.

Nadal said that he aims at building five centers worldwide, which will work with appropriate programs for young people in the area, to develop their level with coaches based at the Academy of Mallorca all over the world.

The new Costa Mujeres Center will also offer daily, weekly and annual learning programs for all levels and ages for guests staying at these hotels and residents too.

He explained that the “Rafa Nadal Tennis Center” is a new line of sports centers located nearby high-end tourist resorts in leading international destinations.

The tennis training program that will be offered will be personalized, of high quality and taught by the coaches of the “Rafa Nadal Academy”, in addition to the technical team that has worked with him during more than 15 years of professional career.
